About Me
I hope everybody had a great summer!
My name is Jacob Dubina and I am one of the fifth grade teachers. This is my sixth year teacher and my first whole year in Coloma. I grew up in Canton, Ohio and attended the University of Akron, graduating in 2018. I served as a special education teacher the last five years in Benton Harbor and South Haven. Last year was my first year teaching fourth and fifth graders!
It won’t take much time to see I love what I do. I bring a positive attitude and energy to the classroom each day. My classroom should serve as a safe space for students to learn and grow. Outside of school, I enjoy spending my time with my dog Jordy! We go rollerblading and hiking on the Kal-Haven Trail. I love all sports, especially professional basketball.
Parents should never hesitate to contact me. Whether it is by phone, email, or in-person, I will try to respond and answer questions immediately. Whichever communication system works best for your family, can work for me as well.
